There are different types of pay and display parking areas around the University:
Short-term (8am to 5pm)
The maximum amount of time you're allowed to park varies, so make sure to check before leaving your car.
Car Parks 1, 3, 4, 20 (Car Park 37 parking is restricted between 7.00am to 8.00pm).
At the end of the time limit on the signage, the vehicle must be moved from the carpark.
Please don't park in reserved, disabled and service bays.
Please note during business hours, the demand for visitor parking bays can exceed what is available.
The University of Western Australia does not have reciprocal parking with any other University.
You don't need a permit for red and yellow bays on weekends, or after 5pm and before 8am on weekdays (except Car Park 37 where parking is restricted between 7.00am to 8.00pm, Monday to Friday).
Pay parking is on the roads surrounding UWA. This parking is controlled by the City of Subiaco, City of Perth and City of Nedlands.
With the exception of Carpark 37 (Oral Health Centre car park), Yellow student parking areas are available to non-permit holders during University vacations.
Due to the severe parking constraints and the different timetabling of Medical and Dental programs normal traffic and parking regulations apply at all time in Carpark 37 (Oral Health Centre car park).
University vacations do not include Non-teaching Study Breaks, Pre-examination Study Breaks and Exam Periods.
